What Exactly Is This Thing?

What is it?

Founded in 2014, the Craft Brew Races are a series of 5k road races followed by local craft beer festivals. Runners and walkers are welcome to participate in the 5k. A 3-hour post-race beer festival is held immediately following the races, featuring 30+ breweries, local food vendors, and musicians.

How much does it cost?

Every race and festival has an early bird, regular, and onsite price based on the date of the event. Please review each individual cities’ event page for specific pricing.

What do I get?
  • Entry into the 5k Brew Run and post-race Brew Festival featuring 30+ craft breweries
  • Official pint glass (At the exit when you leave the festival)
  • A finisher’s medal
  • Live music
  • Food vendors will be selling at each event
  • Free beer sampling included with your ticket (Event staff and security reserve the right to refuse service)
What if I don’t want to run?

There is a Brew Fest and Designated Driver ticket available for each event, so sleep in then show up for when the festival gates open at 12:30.

How long is the run?

All races will be very close to 5 kilometers / 3.1 miles. Please remember, that while timed, the Brew Races are a celebration of each city and their craft brewing community. The courses will not be USATF certified. Walkers are welcome!

What if it rains or there is severe weather?

The Craft Brew Races will be held rain or shine – we only cancel in the event of severe weather that would put our participants in danger. There is always the potential for extreme or severe weather conditions. Race organizers will do as much as we can to ensure the experience is as safe as possible. In the event of severe weather, the event may be delayed as we consult public safety officers. If there is more than a short delay, if conditions persist, or the forecast calls for extreme weather, we reserve the right to alter or cancel the event. Entry fees are non-refundable. Please check the website, our Facebook page and your email before the race for any changes or cancellations.

Are there refunds?

Gray Matter Marketing is a small business dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle with charitably focused events that highlight the communities we are fortunate to call hosts cities.

We are not able to offer refunds. However we do offer any registered runners the opportunity to request a race credit for your full value. Once issued, these Eventbrite Credits appear as a balance of your Eventbrite account. The credit balance can then be applied to the purchase price of a new ticket to any event on our calendar within two years of the day we issue the credit.

Please email [email protected] with your full name, the email you used to register for the event, and the event name and date — and we will issue an event credit for the value of your entry. Event credits must be requested no later than 30 days prior to the event you are currently registered for.
